  • Apple Just Released Firmware for Headphones That Don’t Exist Yet

Apple has a slightly unusual problem.

It has just released a firmware update for a pair of headphones that, technically speaking, aren’t even a product yet.

  • The Golden Age of iPhone Icon Design

I sometimes think we underestimate just how good the original iPhone icons were.

Not because they were technically complicated. Quite the opposite. They were small, instantly recognisable pieces of design that somehow managed to give an entire operating system a personality.

This was the golden age of skeuomorphism — when digital things were deliberately made to resemble things from the physical world.

And Apple was exceptionally good at it.

  • Pikachu Pays A Surprise Visit to Apple Park

Pikachu has made an unexpected appearance at Apple Park, meeting Apple CEO John Ternus, former CEO Tim Cook and The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara, in one of Apple’s more unusual campus visits.

  • The Tweetie Era

There was a particular moment in the history of the iPhone when everything just seemed to click.

The App Store was still young. Developers were discovering what the iPhone could actually do. Twitter was becoming a daily habit for an ever-growing number of people. And somewhere in the middle of all of that came Tweetie.

Looking back, it is easy to think of Tweetie as simply another Twitter client.

    It wasn’t.

  • RazorianFly: The Story of a Little Apple Blog That Became Something Much Bigger

There was a time when the internet felt very different.

Before every company had a social media team. Before breaking news travelled instantly through TikTok, Instagram and push notifications. Before every rumour appeared on a dozen websites within seconds.

There was a period when a teenager with an interest in technology, an iPhone and a willingness to spend an unreasonable amount of time online could actually build something.

For me, that something was RazorianFly.com.
