When Apple first introduced the iPhone back in 2007, it was called by them and us, revolutionary. Apart from it’s 3-in-1 product appeal, it’s responsive touch screen was like nothing else then available on the market. It’s user interface was clean, reliable, readable and most importantly, easy navigable. As the months went on iPhone advanced with technology gaining 3G, and built-in GPS .. (more…)

Can a Blackberry do this? – Ocarina (VIDEO) [Updatedx2]
I just spotted this tonight, and thought I’d give you all a quick heads up on it. When you thought you’d exhausted every little thing you could perform with your iPhone, you find something you missed. There are many uses for your iPhone’s microphone, but this one is quite a bit different to the others. App developers have realised that the microphone can actually pick up air being blown through it, and this is the basis of Ocarina.
Ocarina developed by Smule is a 59p/$0.99 electronic synth flute for iPhone. Basically you blow into your iPhone, and use the touch screen to control the pitch of the sound by covering virtual holes -and if you thought this was just a fly-by-night gimmick, then think again … (more…)

Trailers by xTeo
Being into movies myself, I’ve been watching this app very closely. After submitting feedback to it’s developers back in late September outlining the use of tacky UI elements and bugs which ultimately made the app crash, they finally released version 1.1.0 on the store. A stable, feature-full offering which is sure to give you all that trailer-goodness you so very much love and have probably been looking for … (more…)

Fuzzle: Do you Fuzzle?
Half price (today only) at $0.99/£0.59p, I take a look and Fuzzle, the chart-topping puzzler which took the App Store by storm. What was all the fuss about? How is it played? OK, it’s on sale, but is it worth it’s original price-tag? … (more…)

Classics: The Stylish eBook Reader, Now Available – [VIDEO]
[Update] – See Classics in action, with our brief video walk-through. Just added.
Let me first say I’ve never really been the reading type. I went through a spell while on holiday one year of picking up a book and not being able to put it down. The most prominent of these two being ‘Digital Fortress’ [Wiki] and ‘The Da Vinci Code’ [Wiki] by Dan Brown. Two amazing reads if you ever get a chance to look at them.
Anyhoo, for the purpose of this review, I last night bought Classics. Not because I like reading (although I can feel I probably will again, after using this app for a while), I wanted to talk to you about it’s clearly leading user interface … (more…)

Hot Pick: Liquid Pics [Briefly]
If you’ve ever want to make someone think their eye’s have left their body, or you just like the idea of turning your photo’s into a water like substance, then this is definitely the app for you. It has no real practical use, but it’s extremely well executed, and follows the one important factor of the iPhone’s design. Simplicity. (more…)
