With WWDC just a few weeks away, @YouTube user and repair outfit SmartPhoneMedic has posted a first look at the outer casing of the “Next Phone”.

After Gawker media network got their hands on what they ‘claimed’ was the next generation iPhone a few months before it was meant for public release, Apple got in touch and ordered they return what they dubbed a ‘prototype’. A week later, they ordered the full search of @Gizmodo Jason Chen’s apartment.

Today, @MacRumors highlights a short video uploaded by phone repair company SmartPhoneMedic on Friday, which claims to show the outer casing of the “Next iPhone”.

The iPhone parts clearly resemble the leaked iPhone photos posted in April. Apple has since acknowledged that that iPhone was a prototype design, and is widely expected to represent the next generation iPhone. It seems they aren’t the only ones who have been able to obtain early parts of the next generation iPhone. Late last week, iSpazio posted photos of the LCD portion of the next generation iPhone.

As noted by the site, the video seems to depict a casing which would match the photos previously leaked by Gizmodo, and suggests if suppliers are receiving these parts, the next iPhone is nearing production.

Apple starting production of the next iPhone right about now makes plenty of sense, due to rumors stacking up that the device is set for introduction by Apple at their – now sold out – WWDC conference, beginning next month.
