After following the #RFLIVE coverage of the World Wide Developers Conference 2010, I have come to realise that this will be the quickest iPhone push we have ever witnessed from Apple.
Although there are numerous things to be discussed from the 2010 Keynote Speech of Steve Jobs, the main was the iPhone. Many questions have still been left unanswered, especially the question Is it locked to AT&T or not? There will no doubt be a huge influx of pre-orders on the 15th of June, with the shipping to five countries on the 24th of June, the US, France, Germany, UK, and Japan.
Mid July we’ll see the iPhone 4 be available in another 18 countries. By the end of September the iPhone 4 will be available in an estimated 88 different countries. Thus making the iPhone 4 the quickest iPhone to be pushed to the international market.
The amount of hype that has surrounded the iPhone 4 (official name now) was stupendous. From the lost iPhone prototype to the seizing of possessions owned by the @Gizmodo member whom purchased the “stolen” iPhone prototype.
With the Keynote speech we also saw the renaming of iPhone OS 4, commonly known now as iOS 4. This was, in my opinion, a bold move by Apple, finally branching out from the simple iPhone OS to a wider product detailing. Hopefully we’ll begin to see people receiving the GM of iOS 4 and numerous other features will be found.
