Apple Inc: The New Retail Store App

Yes, it’s true!  If like me you’re addicted to twitter, you would have seen that there were some rumors flying around that Apple would be releasing it own ‘Store’ app. Whilst some thought it would simmer down and prove to be false, Apple this morning revealed and amazed everyone (again) with its awesome new retail store app.

The application itself will be a bridge between the iPhone and iPod touch customers and the Apple retail stores located across the world. The app is considered the first release for iOS4 from Apple, with the iOS-based application available for all iOS devices, includes the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Everything you can already do on the web based retail store is brought to your iOS4 device in style, meaning you can purchase or pre-order Apple products (which I personally think is awesome), take a look at reviews, and see the latest revolutions from apple. The other thing I really can’t wait for is the ability to book appointments for personal shopping, Genius Bar and one to one sessions.

Apple released the application this morning, Tuesday 15th (iPhone 4 pre-order day), and conveniently allows customers in the 5 launch countries the ability to pre-order iPhone 4 and eventually buy an iPhone straight from your current Apple device. Once fully propagated throughout the store, the app will be FREE, and a beautiful 1.6MB download!

I’m really exited about this magical application. This has been long awaited. It’s possibly the only FREE application which will cost you the most you’ve ever spent through an app on iOS. – Oh the irony!

Remember you’ll find me at @lewisfielder – I’d love to hear from you!
