If you’re not yet familiar with LiveView, the app is best described as a specialized remote screen viewing application, intended as a tool to help designers create graphics for mobile applications – and yesterday, it got iPad support.

Version 1.1 of the software, although a small update in as far as adding features, brings universal support, with LiveView now able to run on the iPhone, iPod touch and the iPad.

In a nut-shell, LiveView requires that you run a small free application called Screencaster for Mac. A simple app, this software created a fixed window in which you drag over what section of the screen you want to broadcast to you connected device(s).

Once the window is placed, you simply connect your device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac, and the section of screen you chose to broadcast will be viewable on all connected devices.

Visual designers ”” Develop pixel”“perfect graphics for the iPhone and iPad quickly and easily with a live view of your canvas/artboard while you work.

Interaction designers ”” With your iPhone or iPad tethered via WiFi, you can interact with software prototypes and demos running on your Mac to communicate and iterate your concepts quickly.

Everyone ”” If you’ve ever needed to press a button from afar or wished that you could take a piece of your monitor with you across the room, this app may prove useful from time to time.

The software is citied as being particularly handy for those in the creative industry, as it has been proven good at creating quick simulations, demos, and experience prototypes.
