Apple might have quietly shown one of the coolest iPhone Duo features — without actually telling us what we’re looking at.
There’s a moment in Apple’s iPhone Duo video that caught my eye.
As a video plays on the upper portion of the foldable, the lower half appears to pick up a real-time reflection of the content above it.
And if that’s actually what we’re seeing, this could be a seriously clever use of Duo’s two displays.

Rather than simply treating the lower half as another screen, Apple appears to be using it almost like a digital reflection — extending the visuals from the video above across the second display.
It’s subtle, but it makes the whole thing feel much more immersive.
And importantly, this isn’t a fan-made concept. The footage appears on Apple’s own iPhone Duo website, alongside the company’s demonstrations of how the device can be positioned for watching movies and shows.
The Cupertino company describes Duo as having “reimagined iOS experiences” for its different poses and orientations, including angled viewing positions. (Apple)

Apple hasn’t specifically called out a “reflection mode” or explained exactly what’s happening in this particular shot, so I’m not ready to say this is definitely a feature.
But the fact that Apple chose to show it is what makes it so intriguing.
It could simply be a visual effect used for the promotional video.
Or it could be a glimpse at something iOS can actually do when Duo is folded at an angle.
And if it’s the latter, Apple may have just slipped one of Duo’s most interesting software tricks into its launch video.
The more I look at it, the more I want to know: is iPhone Duo really going to do this?
